When You Can Skip This Checklist
If you're buying a single treadmill for a home gym, you don't need a resistance curve analysis. You need a decent warranty and a belt that's comfortable. If your facility is simple—single room, concrete floor, existing dedicated circuits—some of this is overkill.
But for commercial facilities, the math changes. One mistake can cost weeks of downtime and a few memberships. The 15-minute check feels annoying right up until it saves you from a $22,000 redo. That's the cheapest insurance I can recommend.
Life Fitness builds solid equipment. It earned its reputation. But "solid equipment" is meaningless if you don't verify that the specific model matches your people and your space. That verification doesn't need a quality inspector. It needs a checklist and 15 minutes.
